Since its inception The Glenwood Bakery has run chiefly as a bakery, with a very small café attached.

The idea behind the café was to be able to showcase the breads by using it in sandwiches and other offerings. This café kitchen used to be physically nestled into a kitchen which was dominated by bread bakers and other production teams. It was shared by everyone. Historically it ran with only one café chef – admittedly with some auxiliary cooking happening in the Robinson’s home kitchen late at night.

With the acquisition of additional kitchen space next door, we have been able to dedicate the original kitchen only to our cafe. This means we can do more cooking.

As with everything Adam Robinson has always done - the offering is rule bound and classic. The focus is on execution. The cooks who are cooking with us are mostly taught from scratch, by us, and work very specifically to the recipes provided. They have all become independent and skilled cooks and kitchen managers. We are thrilled to add to this simple café menu a few lunch items, as well as a larger range of breakfasts all week.

We are not licensed and charge no corkage.
